Ability Works ‘Get Online Week’ events

Activities to improve employees’ digital skills and feel more confident using the internet.

Ability Works supported ‘Get Online Week’ from 14 to 18 October 2024. The activities helped employees aged 50+ and over improve their digital skills to feel safer and more confident online. Ability Works received the ‘Get Online Week’ marketing pack and used it to promote the event, using posters, flyers and bunting around the workplace. Staff and employees were informed about the event during toolbox meetings every morning.

The hosted events included tasty lunches and sharing merchandise to encourage employees aged 50 and over to join the training. Many staff and employees of all ages showed interest in the digital training. Having ‘Get Online Week’ support was a great opportunity for everyone to improve their digital skills and feel more confident using the internet.
