Corporate Partner Volunteering Program – Launch

Staff volunteering is an important part of many Corporate Social Responsibility strategies. Our new program, launched with Westpac staff in November 2018, delivers team volunteering opportunities which encourage engagement with people living with a disability and those socially disadvantaged.

Our Corporate Partner Volunteer Program runs over a full day and involves: a company overview outlining what it means to be a social enterprise, Workplace Health and Safety induction, facility tour and then assignment to mixed teams where corporate staff assist AWA employees with their work.

We can accommodate volunteer teams of up to ten staff per day. With Westpac, we were able to schedule the volunteering experience over the course of one week.

Cheryl Bonavia, Westpac’s Regional General Manager had this to say about the program: “It was simply an amazing experience and so good to give back to and organisation providing work for people with disabilities, making them feel valued and accepted in society. The program was well structured and organised and my team and I loved it.”
