Social Traders Social Procurement Game Changer Award 2022 Winners – Vic & Tas

We are thrilled to announce that Ability Works Australia and Transurban have been awarded the Social Traders Vic & Tas 2022 Gamechanger award.
Congratulations to the wonderful teams at Ability Works and Transurban. Transurban have been socially procuring mailroom services from Ability Works for 10 years. Innovation, internal and external advocacy to create new social procurement opportunities and its resultant impact landed this award.
The award was won for:
• our collaboration with Transurban who procure mail room services from Ability Works
• Innovation – the use of our social robot Matlda, that scans and reads Transurban mail using artificial intelligence, helping our employees with literacy challenges work on the account.
• For reducing greenhouse gas emissions by scanning mail to recipients and using shredded mail as packaging for Ability Works online customers.
• how both parties advocated to create new social procurement opportunities and the impact created where we doubled the number of jobs from 7 to 14 every day of the week and year.
